If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap
If you want happiness for a day, go for a picnic
If you want happiness for a week, go on a vacation
If you want happiness for a month, get married
If you want happiness for a year, inherit wealth
If you want happiness for a lifetime, learn to love what you do.
I chanced upon this poem in a book, and was nodding my head in agreement that the poet so accurately summarised how we can find the elusive happiness. The most important message of all is in the last sentence – learn to love what you do. If this option does not satisfy you, then make it your mission to find what you love to do, then do what you love!
