The Night is still Young at Jurong Lake Gardens

With news of the official opening of the Jurong Lake Gardens on 27 April 2019, I decided to visit the park in the evening of 28 April Sunday.

I started my walk from Chinese Garden. The pagoda near the entrance at the Chinese Garden MRT side has undergone some repainting and renovation.

Other areas of the Chinese Garden were quieter where I sat at one of the pavilions enjoying a packed dinner.

Imagine my surprise when I saw crowds of families, with jumping and running children, at 8 pm in the evening. The children were enjoying the slides, swings, hammocks and water play. I recall there were just plants and trees in this area when I used to jog some years’ ago. Now there are many playgrounds for children.

Just 2 years ago, the PassionWave building was still under construction. But now the gigantic structure is completed.

For dating couples who prefer a quiet spot, the PassionWave building offers this choice just metres away from the bustling playgrounds.
