SGX APAC Dividend Leaders REIT ETF issued by Phillip Capital

There are a total of 30 REITS in Singapore over different sectors: retail, industrial, office and healthcare. For many retail investors like myself, it’s difficult to select if we can just choose two or three REITs. Having limited knowledge of picking the correct REIT in the sector we want to focus on and with our limited capital, many retail investors have been looking forward to a REIT ETF whereby they can invest in a basket of REITS.

Now, we can! From 20 October 2016, there is a EIP REITS ETF listed on SGX which all retail investors can invest in. It is “SGX APAC Dividend Leaders REIT ETF” issued by Phillip Capital. This REIT ETF contains a basket of Top 30 REITs that pay the largest dividend within APAC ex-Japan.

Geoff Howie, Singapore Exchange’s Market Strategist wrote about the REIT ETF in this article “Highlights of SGX’s First Regional REIT ETF“.

For those who want more details about the REIT ETF but do not have the time to read through the entire 80 pages listing prospectus, you can read “Should you invest in the SGX APAC REIT ETF? Here are 5 things you need to consider” where Rusmin Ang of The Fifth Person wrote about five key points he selected from the prospectus for your consideration.

Sky Kwah of POEMS Equity Dealing Team wrote a short article about the pros and cons and listed the 30 constituents and their weightings in the SGX APAC REIT ETF here.
