I’ve never been to MediaCorp at Andrew Road, or attended a live recording of a show. As mum has always been interested to watch the Sheng Siong Show on television, I thought it would be a good experience to go to the studio and watch a live show.
I requested for tickets thinking that it would be at the new location at one-north which is a more convenient location. However, I was surprised that the recording was still at the old location at Andrew Road. The show assistant informed us that their departments are the few left in the old location.
I have never been to the old location. Previously, I have only heard that MediaCorp at Andrew Road is far inside from the main road. Although it was inconvenient to get there, at least I know how far in the old location is and how MediaCorp at Andrew Road looks like, and attended a live recording at that location. It might be the remaining few chances for the public to visit the old MediaCorp at Andrew Road.
I had fun shouting“百倍，百倍”(only those who watches the show would understand what this is). Those who have ever watched a live recording or a live concert would understand that the mood at the location is totally different from watching the show on television. Although I don’t usually watch the show, but as mum watches it, sometimes when I went pass the living room, I would pause and watch the show for a while. It’s a totally different feel when you were in the studio. The atmosphere and the receptive audience made it a fun and lively experience.

Btw, next week is the last show for this season. For the next season, it might be next year and there is a chance that it might move to the new venue at one-north. So, for those interested to catch the last show, or want to attend a live recording at MediaCorp at Andrew Road, do act fast and get the tickets now, before the remaining departments shift to the new location.
